With the 3D CNC configurator, various drill holes and milling operations such as slotted holes, countersunk holes, pockets and more can be selected directly in the configurator and positioned with just a few clicks. Thanks to the real-time preview, you always have an overview: Every change is immediately displayed graphically so that you can visually check the processing steps.

Thanks to the interactive navigation, the workpiece can be freely rotated, moved and zoomed in 3D space - ideal for viewing details from any angle. The configurator also offers real-time price calculation: all processing steps are calculated automatically and the total price is displayed immediately - including material, cutting and processing costs. This allows you to keep a constant eye not only on your configuration, but also on your budget.

Every configuration created can be easily saved, reused later or edited as often as required. This is particularly practical if you want to prepare a project or have similar workpieces produced several times. Each configuration is automatically assigned an individual production number, which can be used to uniquely assign it as soon as the configuration is placed in the shopping basket.

There are two options for saving your configuration:

1. If you have a customer account and are logged into the shop when you create the configuration, your configurations are automatically saved in your account. If you are logged in, you can see your configurations on the page dold-mechatronik.de/configurations under the menu item ‘Your configurations’.
2. If you do not have a customer account, you must tick the ‘Public’ checkbox when configuring so that it can be accessed later via the configuration link. Place the configured item in the shopping basket. You will see the configuration link in the shopping basket and can save it or make a note of it. Alternatively, you can also save or make a note of the production number. You can use the production number to call up any public configuration on the dold-mechatronik.de/configurations page.

If you would like to share your configuration with others - for example with colleagues, customers or for queries within the team - this is also very easy. Important: To do this, the ‘Public’ checkbox must be activated in your configuration. Place the edited item in the shopping basket. You will see the configuration link there and can save it accordingly and share it with others.

For further processing in your own CAD software, the configurator offers the option of downloading the created model as a STEP file. This allows you to integrate your configuration directly into your CAD project or share it with others. Downloading is very simple: click on the download icon in the top right-hand corner of the configurator and your current configuration will be exported as a 3D model in STEP format - including all the edits you have made.

You can now use additional milling operations: Slotted holes, rectangular pockets, circular pockets and more.
